selection of health and medical books and magazines, an extensive health
topics file of current medical articles, support group information and
a collection of video and audio tapes. You may do your own searching on
our public Internet stations. We also have a database of patient factsheets
and healthy living articles as well as access to EBSCOHost, a resource
of full-text journal articles online. The level of information available
at the Planetree Health Resource Center runs from very basic to technical.
Some materials available in non-English languages.

service
Patrons of The Dalles-Wasco County Public Library now have internet access
to full text academic journals, magazines, photographs, newspapers and
some books through a new subscription service. The subscription service,
EBSCOHost, was provided by a subscription paid for by The Friends of the
Library. Access is available at the library, via an EBSCOHost icon, and
from personal home computers. The login requires the library patron’s
bar code. The service was negotiated through the Oregon State Library.
