Alternative Health and Wellness
At long last, Alternative Health Practices are becoming commonplace in the Mid Columbia area. Western medicine traditionally treats the body as a machine, using drugs and surgery to "fix" things. Alternative Health often finds its roots in Eastern medicine which views the body as an ecosystem, requiring a balance between all systems to provide optimum health. Alternative medicine encourages the patient to be an active participant in their health needs and to practice prevention through well-body lifestyle, including exercise, proper diet, and mental stress reduction.
